RSAC: Frequently Asked Questions

The cybersecurity community is evolving—and so are we. RSAC offers two ways to stay connected: RSAC™ Conference, our flagship annual event, and RSAC™ Membership, a year-round platform for daily cybersecurity resources, news, and a trusted community of cybersecurity experts. These FAQs explain what’s changed, what hasn’t, and how RSAC continues to bring the community together.

Who is RSAC?

As the cybersecurity industry's convening authority, RSAC brings together cybersecurity leaders, organizations, and innovators to exchange perspectives, knowledge, and ideas. Through RSAC Conference and RSAC Membership, we deliver a year-round platform for uniting and advancing the cybersecurity community—providing learning resources, news, research, and peer connection.

Are RSAC and RSAC Conference still part of RSA Security?

RSAC and RSAC Conference are not part of RSA Security. As an independent organization, our mission is to unite and empower the global cybersecurity community—professionals, companies, and service providers worldwide.

Why did RSA Conference evolve its brand to RSAC?

The RSAC brand reflects our expanded role as a global, year-round platform—supporting collaboration, learning, and strategy beyond our annual Conference. It signals our commitment to the community 365 days a year, with resources and insights that cybersecurity professionals can rely on.

What does RSAC stand for?

RSAC is where we've come from and where we're headed. It started as the world's largest security conference—RSA Conference, also known as RSAC. As we expanded into a year-round platform, the "C" took on broader meaning: the Conference itself, the content we produce, the culture we're part of—and above all, our community.

Is RSA Conference now called RSAC Conference?

Yes. RSAC Conference remains our flagship annual event held in San Francisco—Where the World Talks Security™. The brand evolution places RSAC Conference within a broader ecosystem that extends learning, networking, and community engagement throughout the year.

What does the “Cybersecurity, Together” tagline mean?

“Cybersecurity, Together™" reflects a core belief: meaningful progress in security happens through collaboration. Protecting the digital world—from ransomware and data breaches to emerging threats in AI and machine learning—requires people, organizations, and ideas working together to share insights and collective intelligence across roles, sectors, and borders.

Has RSAC’s mission changed?

RSAC’s mission has been clarified to reflect its expanded role: To unite and empower the world’s cybersecurity community to create a safer society. This mission guides all RSAC experiences—from Conference programming to year-round programs, education, and research topics that keep the community informed and connected.

What is RSAC Membership?

RSAC Membership gives cybersecurity professionals free, on-demand access to decades of trusted RSAC expertise. The Library alone contains 7,000+ resources—including 10+ years of Conference presentations with AI-powered summaries and exclusive research you won't find anywhere else—complemented by Group Discussions and Daily Briefs to keep you engaged and informed.

How is RSAC Membership different from RSAC Conference?

RSAC™ Conference is an annual, in-person event where 43,000+ cybersecurity professionals come together for sessions, Keynotes, and networking. RSAC Membership extends that value year-round—giving you on-demand access to the Library, Daily Briefs, and Group Discussions so you stay informed and connected between Conferences.

How should people talk about RSAC now?

Talk about RSAC as a platform for advancing the cybersecurity community—not just an event. Emphasize innovation, strategy, and the collective effort to shape what comes next—from emerging technologies to AI and beyond. RSAC is where cybersecurity leaders, experts, and practitioners come together to tackle the field’s most pressing challenges and drive the agenda forward.
