CISO Boot Camp

Sunday, April 4, 2027 | Invitation-only

RSAC™ CISO Boot Camp (CBC) is an invitation-only leadership program for aspiring CISOs held right before the start of RSA Conference 2027. For one full day, 100-120 security leaders on track for the CISO role learn from experienced CISOs and industry experts, practice through live simulations, and build the peer network they'll rely on in the job, all under Chatham House Rule. CBC attendees also attend additional CBC-only sessions during the week of RSA Conference.

Applications will open in November 2026.

About RSAC CISO Boot Camp

Since 2019, RSAC CISO Boot Camp has helped the next generation of security leaders prepare for one of the toughest jobs in cybersecurity. Stepping into the CISO role means new responsibilities, new stakeholders, and new pressure, and the leaders who succeed are the ones who prepare before they get there.

Each year, the program brings together aspiring CISOs from organizations around the globe. The format is intentionally hands-on: expert presentations, candid peer discussions, live polling, and immersive tabletop exercises. Attendees also get plenty of time to connect with peers on the same career path and with experienced leaders who may become mentors.

An Agenda Shaped by CISOs Who Have Done the Job

The CBC agenda is developed by a Program Committee of experienced CISOs and industry experts who have made the same leap attendees are preparing for.

You'll leave with practical skills you can put to work right away. Past attendees report applying what they learned within weeks of returning to work.

GIAC members can earn six CPE credits for attending the full day of RSAC CISO Boot Camp.

Part of RSA Conference 2027 week

CBC takes place for a full day on Sunday, April 4 at the InterContinental Hotel in San Francisco, just before the start of RSA Conference 2027. The conversation doesn’t end when the day does: CBC participants also attend invite-only sessions during the week of RSA Conference (April 5-8, 2027).

Who Should Attend: CBC Qualifications

CISO Boot Camp is designed for security professionals preparing for their first CISO role. To qualify, you should:

  • Be an aspiring CISO expected to assume the role within 12–18 months (brand new CISOs are also invited to apply)
  • At an organization with at least 500 employees (smaller organizations may be considered)
  • Be registered for, or planning to register for, an RSA Conference 2027 Premium Pass

To protect the integrity of the discussion, the following limits apply:

  • A maximum of two attendees per organization
  • Vendors and suppliers are not eligible unless the individual holds a cybersecurity role on track to become a CISO
  • Sales, marketing, and media professionals are not permitted

Not sure whether you qualify? Email us at CBC@RSAConference.com. We're happy to help.
